About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Menuvella ("Menuvella," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when restaurant owners, team members and guests use our websites, QR menus and account tools (the "Service"). Menuvella is currently an early access product operated under the Menuvella brand in North Carolina, United States.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you use Menuvella on behalf of a restaurant, you are responsible for making sure you have authority to provide its information.
Information we collect
Account information. We may receive your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider, account identifier and authentication records when you create or access an account.
Restaurant content. We store information you or your team submit, including restaurant names, descriptions, locations, menus, prices, dietary labels, translations, photographs, team invitations and workspace roles.
Usage information. We may record public menu views, QR scans, item interactions, language choices, dates and times, device or browser information, IP-derived security data and technical logs. We use this information to operate, secure and improve the Service.
Communications and billing. We may retain messages you send us. If paid plans are introduced, our payment processor may provide transaction identifiers, subscription status and limited billing details. Menuvella will not store complete card numbers or card security codes.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users; create and maintain restaurant workspaces; publish menus; generate QR experiences; provide analytics; manage team access; answer support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; diagnose technical problems; communicate service changes; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use restaurant menu content to advertise unrelated third-party products.
How information is shared
Public menu content. Information intentionally published to a restaurant's guest menu—including its name, location, menu items, prices, descriptions and images—is visible to anyone with the menu link or QR code.
Restaurant teams. Workspace owners, managers and invited team members may see information needed to collaborate inside that workspace.
Service providers. We use providers that support hosting, authentication, databases, file storage and related infrastructure. Our current account, database and image services are provided by Supabase, and Google may process information when you choose Google sign-in. We may add a payment processor such as Stripe before offering paid plans. Providers process information for us under their own terms and privacy notices.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse or protect the rights and security of Menuvella and others. Information may also transfer as part of a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law.
Storage, security and retention
Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We use access controls, encrypted connections and database-level authorization rules designed to keep restaurant workspaces separated. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Public content and account data may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion. We aim to delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
Your choices and requests
You can update much of your restaurant information from the dashboard. The account settings include a portable data export and a permanent account-deletion control. Deleting an owner account also deletes a restaurant workspace that would otherwise have no owner. We recommend downloading an export first.
You may also request access to or correction of personal information associated with your account. Browser settings may let you control cookies and local storage. Disabling essential storage can prevent sign-in or other parts of the Service from working. Menuvella does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.
Children
Menuvella is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Users who are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where they live must use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Menuvella develops. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice when an update materially changes how we handle personal information.
Menuvella is still preparing its dedicated legal and support email for public launch. During early access, privacy requests should be sent through the same Menuvella contact or onboarding channel through which access to the Service was provided. A direct privacy email and the legal operator's full name will be added before paid subscriptions begin.
